Ashleigh and Evans wedding at New Albany Links Golf Club was a classic display of a candid romance. A rich and pure love that I not only had the pleasure of witnessing but capturing every memory that they will anxiously reminisce about for years to come.
There were so many moments throughout the day that either made you laugh, relate, or had you grabbing for a tissue or two. Looking back, the moment that tugged at my heart strings the most was when the bride presented her bridesmaids with a letter and a gift. Each letter was hand written, personalized, and an intimate recollection of their meeting and the impact that each one had on her life (whew, talk about a tear jerker).
Lets meet the Bridesmaids. Ciera, she was a fresh face freshman year of college who happened to have an empty seat beside her when Ashleigh needed a chair, who would have thought that an empty chair would connect two women into a friendship that would not only carry them through the next four years, but a lifetime. Jasmin, the grooms best friends wife, a connection, someone to be the voice of reason when a relationship takes its twists and turns, someone to remind you of the value in your mate and the reasons you love them, someone to understand, these links created a great bond between Ashleigh and Jasmin that she never even imagined. Then there is Devon, who has been the shoulder to cry on, the ear to listen, and the one to celebrate the victories throughout Ashleigh and Evans ten year relationship. She is the friend that gets you from first date to the alter, a rare find.
Watching these women light up when they opened their gifts was amazing, customized earring and necklace set of Swarovski crystals, beautiful satin robes, Epsom salts to soak after the epic day and of course tissues which were absolutely a necessity. But the emotion these women exuded when reading their letters would make anyone speechless, it was one of those soul bearing cries, the one when your makeup has to be retouched. Ashleigh’s words embraced these woman and showed them how loved and how blessed she was to have them in her life, a moment neither her or them will ever forget!
